Designed with the working drummer in mind, these screens are light weight and transportable in the back seat of any car. With accordion style hinging the whole screen will fold down to the size of a single panel.

Pansini Percussion Sonic 8 panel Sound Screen is a transparent acoustic panel or system of panels that are used around drums, percussion, orchestral instruments' like a brass section or possibly other loud musical instruments in order to acoustically separate unusually loud instruments from other musical instruments and vocalists that may be in close proximity. These sound screens are a tool used by sound people to avoid sound control problems caused when loud instruments overwhelm quieter instruments and vocals on stage. Sound screens are usually made out of a 4.6 mm thick clear acrylic sheet material.

In parts of Europe, the transparent material used is sometimes called Perspex. A more expensive scratch resistant or AB (abrasion-Resistant) acrylic is also sometimes used for rugged use and touring application.
