Meinl CAX2 Caxixi, MEDIUM

The caxixi comes from the rattle family and is traditionally played in Brazil. Nowadays the instrument is used as an effect in music. The caxixi is moved up and down while playing so that the contents hit either the bottom or the weave.

The MEINL Percussion Caxixis are woven by hand with a coconut bottom. Their sound is crystal clear, high-pitched with a great projection.
